Many San Diego residents were introduced to revolucion for the first time Sunday when the company's owners were featured on KGTV 10 News during a live spot from the Healthy Living Festival.
Reporter Grecia Aguilar asked founders Jason Leon and Steve Dobbins about the company's unique business model and their mission to create a better world through our purchases.
"We saw a real need in the market for our kind of brand," Jason said. "Fitness is about becoming our best selves and a big part of that is asking 'how are we helping others do the same.'"
Jason spoke about revolucion's partnership with 8 West, which helps homeless youth in San Diego get off the streets and develop skills that will make them self sufficient. "Four of our pieces support 8 West by providing job skills training, warm meals and personal hygiene kits," he said.
Aguilar said she loved the quality of the clothes — especially the VaVa Leggings — and the story behind the brand. She encouraged viewers to visit the festival and stop by the revolucion booth to learn more.
