revolucion + Conscious Capitalism: A new era of business

J Leon

“We believe that business is good because it creates value, it is ethical because it is based on voluntary exchange, it is noble because it can elevate our existence and it is heroic because it lifts people out of poverty and creates prosperity. Free enterprise capitalism is the most powerful system for social cooperation and human progress ever conceived. It is one of the most compelling ideas we humans have ever had. But we can aspire to even more.” – Conscious capitalist credo

The genesis of revolucion can be traced back to our first introduction to conscious capitalism and it’s four core tenants: higher purpose, optimized value for all stakeholders (not just shareholders), servant leadership and supportive unifying culture.

Today, those principles influence everything we do, from design elements in our women’s leggings or men’s shorts to the selection of manufacturing partners to our work with our non-profit Love in Action partners and, most importantly, our relationship with the women and men who choose revolucion when they are shopping.

Higher Purpose

Humans need to be connected to a higher purpose, to contribute to the greater good. Making money is a vital and essential part of business, but it’s not the raison d’etre. We believe business has a more noble calling: to serve, create value and provide solutions to our worlds greatest problems. Purpose is our True North and guides us as we continue to create and venture into the unknown.

Triple Bottom Line

The Triple Bottom line holistically measures business success and advances the goal of sustainability in business practices. In this model, a company’s extends beyond profits to include social and environmental issues to measure the total cost of doing business.

People + Planet + Profit = Triple Bottom Line

Servant Leadership

Servant Leadership speaks to a person’s commitment to help other’s become their best selves at home, at work and in their communities. Servant leaders strive to:

  1. Value diverse opinions
  2. Cultivate cultures of trust
  3. Demonstrate persistence
  4. Listen intently and observe closely
  5. Embody service

Unifying Culture

Unifying cultures embrace diversity and use it as a source of competitive advantage. Every person has unique gifts, talents and insights that make the “whole” stronger.

We’re on an exciting journey with revolucion and are excited to add our mark to the conscious capitalism landscape.

Viva la revolucion!
